History

Tralee Rugby Club was established in 1882. After a very successful season that saw a lot of hard work by dedicated coaches and volunteers pay off, the club was named Munster junior club of the year 2010. A progressive club with approximately 550 youth members training each week, Tralee has hosted many touring sides. The club wanted to extend an invitation to clubs from other countries and provinces to come and experience the hospitality that makes Kerry famous.

In 2008 the first Munster International Youth Festival was held which brought 200 players from Ulster, Munster, Wales and England together for an enjoyable weekend of rugby. In 2008 and that grew to 300 in 2009. 2010 was another hugely successful year with many teams returning from previous years. The club is now busy preparing new pitches and updating facilities ready for next year which promises to be the biggest and best ever.
