History
Tralee Rugby Club was established in 1882. After a very successful season that saw a lot of hard work by dedicated coaches and volunteers pay off, the club was named Munster junior club of the year 2010. A progressive club with approximately 550 youth members training each week, Tralee has hosted many touring sides. The club wanted to extend an invitation to clubs from other countries and provinces to come and experience the hospitality that makes Kerry famous.
In 2008 the first Tralee International Youth Rugby Festival was held which brought 200 players from Ulster, Munster, Wales and England together for an enjoyable weekend of rugby which grew to 300 in 2009. 2010 & 2011 were hugely successful years with many teams returning from previous years and playing numbers exceeding 400. The club recently aquired new grounds, developed an all weather pitch and is preparing for 2012 with much anticipation of being the biggest and best Festival of Rugby in the Province of Munster ever.
